I recently met up with some photographer friends in Philadelphia for shooting in Elfreth’s Alley.  It’s thought to be the oldest residential street still in existence in the United States-as verified by the crayon drawing in one of the windows.

It’s a beautiful little pedestrian only street, but as I was wondering if it was annoying to have tourists milling past your front door, I saw the Halloween display in one of the tiny courtyards.

I think that probably confirms the resident’s feelings towards visitors.

Fall is starting to come to Delaware.  Since I wanted to capture the colors of the season I decided to experiment with purposeful, out of focus images.

It’s an interesting way to capture the tone and texture of a scene.
